There’s something special about owning a restaurant in a city you’ve grown up in. It has always been a dream of co-owner, Gabriel Paredes, to have a cocktail forward bar/restaurant inspired by the flavors of Mexico. Nativo mixes the love for Highland Park and Guadalajara; it’s rooted in traditions with a modern twist. Our humble 8’x11’ kitchen encourages us to be creative and have a simple yet enriching food menu to pair with our electric cocktails. Overall, our exploration of new flavors compliment a new generation and support our mission to bring Highland Park to Highland Park.

We are a cocktail forward restaurant with an array of signature drinks inspired by both childhood and recent visits to Guadalajara! Our creative team expertly-crafted a unique menu with only the best ingredients from Mexico! Pair one of our craveable eats with a spirit to receive the full Nativo experience.

With an 8’ x 11’ kitchen, our food menu is designed to be simple yet packed with flavor. With our community inspired space, we embrace authentic rancho flavor! Our menu pays homage to Highland Park's neighborhood as well as family roots in Guadalajara. We highlight the inter-generational recipes of one of our co-owner’s, Gabriel Paredes' mother, Herminia Paredes.
